“INSULIN IS WORSE FOR US THAN SUGAR”

Insulin resistance and weight management

Insulin resistance = insulin excess in the absence of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and a reduced ability of the insulin to bring the sugar inside the cells.

As this condition has no measurable marker, the diagnosis is generally made many years after the onset of the disease.

Insulin resistance is most often associated with fat deposition, weight gain and diabetes.

We are interested in diagnosing as early as possible the presence of the excessive amount of insulin.

Once the diagnosis is confirmed, we focus on improving the insulin sensitivity, lowering the insulin level, reducing the patient’s weight and reversing the risk of diabetes.
