Transcranial
PhotobiomodulatioN

Transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) is a relatively new, noninvasive therapeutic modality, proven to enhance cognitive function by regulating the electrical activity of the brain.

Photobiomodulation of the brain has shown to reduce neuroinflammation, to increase mitochondrial function, blood flow within the brain and oxygen consumption.

Neuroinflammation is the underlying process in depression, sleep disorders, traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy.

Transcranial photobiomodulation has already been used in clinical trials for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and stroke.
